About the project
This project is funded by ViBRANT and will create an entirely digital workflow for the collection, curation, analysis and publication of biological occurrence data. The project is led by Ed Baker (Natural History Museum) and Dave Chesmore (University of York).
The first stage is building a number of acoustic data loggers capable of identifying the songs of Leptophyes punctatissima - the Speckled Bush Cricket - and recording the date and time the identification was made, along with associated environmental data such as temperature and humidity. These data will then be uploaded to a Scratchpad for curation, analysis and eventual publication.
